Around 1990, I encountered him at Rocky’s Lounge in downtown Scranton. It was the night before a World Wrestling Federation (WWF) event at the Catholic Youth Center (CYC). I approached him and had a brief conversation. He asked me “How’s fishin’?” At the time, the question went right over my head. He was asking how I was doing with the ladies at the establishment. He said that he did not talk business, but he did confirm that he was called “The Anvil” because he won an anvil throwing contest. He autographed a Rocky’s napkin. He then asked me where I worked and what I did for a living. I told him that I was an Engineer at Loral Control Systems.
He asked me, "What's your name again?" He then introduced me to another wrestler, Tom Magee. He said, "Megaman, this is Joe Klapatch." Tom Magee, at the time wrestled as “Megaman” Magee. I briefly spoke with Megaman, and then continued fishing.
Rest in Peace, James Henry Neidhart.
